Rainbow Baby

4 years ago this darling little girl joined our family.  She's been a blessing from the start.   Her coming this time of year was no coincidence.   She was sent from Heaven 2 years after we lost Katelyn, and she came with a special gift of healing.    

Surprising to us all, her due date matched her angel-sister's birthday.  But that first week in October is a tough one for us because we miss her sister Kate.  So we were grateful when this beautiful baby-girl decided to come 9 days early, claiming her own special birthday in September, and making her own special place in our family.  

Baby Kiersti gave us reason to smile just in time for those challenging days in October.  She was a  bundle of joy sent to bring us comfort and peace... to have, to hold and to feel Heaven's love. It's true that she's been healing to our hearts ever since.  

I understand that she is what is referred to as a Rainbow Baby - or a baby who comes after the rain.  Not to replace the sweet child who was lost (because thats impossible) but perhaps as a sign...  

"A Baby is God's way of saying that the World must go on."  

Thanks for helping us to Go On, baby girl.
